I'd like to go to from Ifaty to Salary Bay by taxi-brousse in April. Anyone have info about this route? about getting a taxi-brousse back to Ifaty? I don't want to get stuck there for a week
Also, info about camping, hotels, and food in Salary Bay and Manombo or anywhere along that stretch would be great too.

Hi. I might have been to the "Ifaty Forest" if the local Reniala Reserve is what you ment. It offers a good chance to see the unique spiny forest of Madagascar south and as it is not a national park it is not at all that costly as other places in Madagascar. I definitely recommend to visit it - in fact you may see almost as good forest just next to this Reserve. Yet, snorkelling at Ifaty lagoon was very disappointing.
