Hi there.
I just got back from Madagascar, and I flew from France. Try either Corsair, Air Madagascar or Air France for best air fares. However, none of them are cheap, and the 50% discout on inland flights if you fly in with Air Madagascar is no longer true.
Have fun planning your trip.
And I hope you do speak some French.

The websites you need are:

http://www.airfrance.com

The best deal Air France offers is usually if you book the whole trip including the Paris feeder from your home city.

Corsair generally offers the cheapest basic return fare, but you need to consider extra costs like full fare for all domestic flights in Madagascar, transfers between airports in Paris and inconvenient flight times needing extra overnight stays in Paris and/or Tana.

With Air Madagascar you get a discount of domestics of now only 30 per cent and only if you're sufficiently planned to book them at the same time as your long haul flight. At the moment, Air Mad have a promotional fare for travel between January and March. Don't book through their website - call them on +33 892 70 18 19

Hi Ulf,
Have a look at Kenya Air, currently they are advertising £632 return London Heathrow to Antananarivo via Nairobi in May 2009, no idea what
they are like, but I will be using them in May!

Question answered but i'd like to add Air Austral. France to Reunion Island (a stop over option !) and Reunion to Mada. Now check with them for the price.
