I have booked my flight from Mauritius to Madagascar by Air Madagascar. I believe that if you arrive by Air Madagascar that internal flights are at a 50% discount. Can anyone confirm that this applies if arriving by the short haul flight from Mauritius.

They used to offer this if you were using Airmad to fly to Madagascar from outside of the region i.e. from outside the Western Indian Ocean.....it may have changed of course.

According to the website (which has become much more reliable than it used to be), you will get this discount if you have a return international ticket, even from/to Mauritius. For some reason, though, the website now says the discount doesn’t apply to flights to/from Tulear.
The discount is never completely 50%, as they first check out the current US dollar/ariary exchange rate, and you don’t (always) get the discount on the tax portion of the fare.
My own up-to-date experience involving several purchases over the last 9 months is that I’ve always got the discount without any quibble. You’ll need either a print-out of your international e-ticket or the Amadeus code of your international reservation.
