I'm still at the initial planning stage but am setting a month to travel in Madagascar and Comoros.

I'm sure I will have to take a few internal flights, but I'm juts not sure how to connect Comoros with the main itinerary in Madagascar, without too much back-tracking

Any suggestions please! (I'm only going to spend 3-4 days in Comoros)

Hi, I am looking at visiting Comoros and Madagascar later in the year, after quite a bit of research I think taking a return Air Madagascar flight from Antananarivo is the probably the most efficient way to go. If you do make it to Moroni I would be very grateful if you could let me know if the diving operation called Itsandra Plongee is still operating (Itsandra is a few Km's from Moroni)
Good luck!

You don't say what island in Comoros you plan to visit nor what's your route in Madagascar. Anyway, there are flights to Comoros from several airports in Madagascar so it should be possible to depart from one of them and to arrive to a different one.

Take a look at the web of Air Madagascar to see from what points in Madagascar is possible to fly to your desired island in Comoros. Comoros Aviation has also flights from Madagascar to Comoros but I'm not sure how updates in their web; i.e.: if you'll be able to get updated info consulting it.

If you go to Mayotte instead of Comoros, take a look also at the web of Air Austral (in addition to Air Madagascar).
