It is said that the public bus #34 from/to Nairobi airport should be avoided because of muggings. How does this work? They try to rob you while there are other passengers in the bus? Anyone with stories from this bus?

Hi

I am looking at doing a safari to a private park / conservancy to avoid the bigger parks.

Any recommendations on a reasonably priced park in Kenya for 4-5 days.

Thanks

Hello,

My wife and I are planning our honeymoon and would appreciate some advice on how to best use our time in Kenya and Tanzania.

We will be arrive in Nairobi on the 25th of June and would like to the start a 8day/7night safari the next day. Our plan is to make our way south and fly out of Arusha to Zanzibar on July 3rd.

We would like to see the wildebeest migration but have heard that at that time, it will still be fully in the Serengeti. My first question is:

Would you plan the safari…

Kenya has made a U-turn on a requirement that visitors coming into the country apply for online visas days before travel and will now continue to allow foreigners to have their passports stamped on arrival.

Hello people,
I'm thinking about visiting Uganda and Kenya next year in March.
I'm considering spending about two weeks in Uganda trekking the Rwenzoris and relaxing at Lake Bunyonyi before making my way to Lamu on the Kenyan coast. While I really wanted to go on a short Safari in Amboseli or Tsavo East, the prices that I've seen had put me off completely.
Is Kenya a place where I can travel around relatively easily on public transport and and just enjoy being in Africa without spending too much…

I understand that Kenya has recently rolled out a new e-visa system, and I have registered on the e-citizen site. My issue is that the only option is for a single entry visa, and advertises the East Africa visa as coming soon. I emailed to find out when "soon" was, but no response.

I will arrive in Nairobi mid OCT, and plan on over landing to Uganda and Rwanda. Any suggestions on what to do, if I can not get an EA visa online prior to arrival? I do not want to pay for each country individually…

hello all
I will be visiting Kenya/Tanzania dec 2015 and looking on the internet I see lodges at £300 plus per night minimum. .i really do not need or want anything as flashy as this at all .they brand themselves as the authentic and quintessential safari experience .Surely there must be something much much cheaper and simpler . I am happy with the most simple of accom camping and sharing is absolutely fine ;nor do I need the top parks or have a burning desire to see the TOP 5 . I have…

Hi travelers,

I am currently traveling through the Laikipia region of central Kenya. I have been to the Lewa Conservancy, and Ol Pajeta. Which other conservancies in the area people recommend seeing?

Best,

Mike
