Recommendations please for a good restaurant in Nairobi. I will be taking my Kenyan girlfriend, and, although she lives in Nairobi, she never goes out to eat.

We don't mind what kind, (Chinese, Tai, Indian etc).

Somewhere with music might also be nice, but not absolutely necessary.

15-20 years ago there was a ticket for sale in Nairobi allowing you to fly from Nairobi to Madagaskar, Seyshelles, Mauritius, Comoros, Reunion and back to Nairobi at a very reasonable price. Does anyone know about something similar existing 2007 from Nairobi or elsewhere - e.g. Jo'burg?

In 10 days I will be travelling on a budget with friends in Kenya and Uganda. We want to visit Nairobi, Nakuru, Kampala, Jinja, Kakamega/Eldoret, Masai Mara, Mombasa and Lamu, and will be needing all sorts of busrides, but there's one in particular that we are wondering if arrangeable: we want to go from Nakuru to Kampala by nightbus on the 14th of september. Hi everybody!

We ( 2 people) are planning to travel to Kenya in the end of november for two weeks.
After reading some books we decided to do:
Nairobi - Nakuru - Lake Bogoria - Masai Mara - Amboseli and 2 days at the beach.
What do you think of this plan? Any better sugestion? Is there something that is more worth to see?
Where is the best place to go diving?
And how much will that cost more or less, if we use a 4x4 with a driver?

trying to plan a safari for next february/march.Apart from masai mara,serengeti and the Crater trying to decide whether amboseli,naivasha,lake nakura,sambura are worth seeing as well??have read that amboseli and naivasha have suffered from excess tourism and ecological pollution problems respectively.Is amboseli worth going to just for the view of killi and is there a chance in february its peak may not be visible??Lots of questions but it is hard to decide based on guide books.Firsthand…

Hi - I am travelling to Kenya and Tanzania on a camping safari in September. I have a morning and evening game drive in both the Masai Mara and Serengeti. I have the option to take a hot air balloon safari in place of one of the morning game drives in either park. Migration is in the Masai - should I take the hot air ballon there or will I be missing out on up close and personal game drive on the land. What sort of gymnastics must one do in order to get a work permit in Kenya? How long does the process take? How strictly are work regulations enforced and is it possible to get by without one? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I have just returned from a 12 day visit to Kenya which I booked in the UK through The Adventure Company. I have never used them before but if this was an example of their usual standards then I will not hesitate to use them again.
