We are interested in going to Africa. My friends and I are debating whether to go to Southern Africa or East Africa. This will be our first time to Africa. We just came across with a special offer safari departing on March of 2008. It is a 15-day to Kenya and Tanzania safari, air inclusive from New York City. We already contacted several tour operators but the price of the 15-day safari is by far the cheapest. We are leaning towards east Africa because South Africa is quite expensive. I’m…
I was wondering what living in Nairobi would be like. I know it might be crazy, but I'm considering a job at an international school in the capital. Its a two year contract, but with 2 months off for summer and 4-5 weeks at Xmas. I believe the pay would be sufficient enough to allow me to travel as much as possible and I've always been fascinated with the "African adventure." Not just travelling through, but living and experiencing the cultures on a day to day basis. I've read the city is…
Hi,
As part of my honeymoon I would like to take in a week long safari of Kenya.
I'm looking for a mid range to top end company with a good few days at the Masai Mara. Most of the companies I've found tend to offer trips of 7 days taking in several sights with only 1.5-2 days at the Mara, which as I want to take the hot air balloon ride would leave me with only a couple of game drives in the Mara.
Has anyone got any companies they could recommend.
Thanks in advance,
Lee.
Hey am traveling to taita Hills on the 26th then was thinking of heding to mombasa on 29th any sugestion on where to stay and if their is anyone or group who would like to join me????if anyone intrested just send me a massage
Taita Hills were a fantastic suprise. Mainly if you wish to have a good break from safaris&stuff...
They are refreshing, rich in culture, friendly people, good temperature [15-25 C] and good food.
You find a couple of good accomodation in Wundani town where the service is absolutely fantastic. I particullarly suggest TAITA ROCKS hotel [1200 KeSh / person including b.fast].
If you wish to make the best out of your staying in Taita do not miss to visit the Wesu Rock, the magic ancient forest and…
Anyone out there recommend a cheap guest house/boarding and lodging in Malindi? It’s been a while since I was in that neck of the woods and doubt weather the places I used to go are still open. At one time I used to stay at the Metro Hotel on the front right near the pier it was never the best place in town but it was in a brilliant spot.
I'm planning a Kenya trip for my girlfriend and me. I'm in Nairobi for a few months, so I know some of the places to visit. I'd like to spend a few days hitting the Mara, Kisumu and Lake Nakuru during her time here. I've got the LP Kenya book and I've been to these places briefly myself, but I haven't been involved in the planning. Thus, how do rates go for the park lodges? I know I need to hire a safari vehicle for these places as well. Will I get a better rate by having the safari…

Hello, I am a single female traveler looking for a safari in kenya for january 5-10. I am currently on a waitlist with gametrackers for a trip leaving on the fifth--right now there are not enough people.
I am open to joining with others who are looking for an extra person and are using a different, but reputable company, on a camping/budget safari. I am interested in seeing any combination of amboseli, samburu rift valley and masai mara. I am a down to earth traveler who is not hell bent on…
Is December not the best time to visit Chefchouen? I suspect that the temperature will drop in the evening but will there still be plenty of sunshine during the day to boost the blue colour of the architecture. I don't want to visit if there are overcast skies and flat colours.
