Hello,

I would like to trek up Mt. Kenya in two weeks. I would prefer to have all the arrangements made beforehand because I'm a bit short of time but is it easy and quick to arrange things on the spot? I have no equipment so I have to hire everything.
Anyone had any experience with Mt. Kenya Guides and Porters Safari Club?
Any other recomendation in Naro Moru o Nanyuki?

Thanks in advance.

My cousin is due to visit family in Kenya next June, but, she's recently discovered that she's pregnant!

The baby will only be 2 months old!#

Has anyone got any experience with traveling with such a young infant.

Most of their time will be spent in Nairobi.

Thankyou in advance.

Hi everybody! I'm travelling to Kenya next august as volunteer in a workcamp, in the Western Region, close to the Uganda-Kenya border. I want to know whether the social and political situation have improved, if anybody know it, and what about safe and any other tips and advices. I'll be in Nairobi, then I have to go to the NGO headquarter, after that go 800 km west by motorway.

I now maybe this question have been already asked, but I'd like to have updated information. Thank you very much in…

I'm debating whether to visit Zanzibar or go to somewhere in Kenya (prob Mombassa or Lamu). I'm going solo and on a budget, but not a super tight one and I've read that Zanzibar is somewhat pricy. My main goal is to just chill out after climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and prob do some snorkeling (and maybe learn to scuba dive), but the thought of cruising around on a dhow really intrigues me.

Can anyone give me some feedback or the pro/cons of either?

Thanks!

I've done a number of homestays in other countries and I usually find them to be one of the highlights of the trip and a real insight into the local culture. I'd like to do a homestay for a day or two in Kenya (or maybe Tanzania or Uganda) at an average, rural, working-class home.

Are there any companies that organize these?

Thanks!

I have an 8 day tour booked in September from Nairobi to the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru but unfortunately recently have had major back surgery including a fusion of 2 vertebrae. If the roads were rough and pot holed the success of the fusion would be damaged. So my question is what are the roads like on that circuit between Nairobi and those game parks and also in those game parks.I am sure I can prevail on the drivers to take care but nevertheless it would be good to know what to expect.

Some Kenyan tour companies are registered with KATO and others with KALTO.
Which tourism company is more reputable and has the most strigent membership criteria?

We (two people) are going to be in Kenya from next week and the Turkana area sounds fascinating. We don't have the cash to go on an organized tour but are thinking of trying to go Nyahururu-Maralal-Loyangalani return by ourselves. How easy an safe is it to travel on this route? Are trucks the only transport and how easy are they to find? Any other advice/sharing of experience is much appreciated, feel free to go into as much detail as you like.

Thanks in advance
