It is not a question i generally ask...but in Kenya prices for hotels and to enter NP are given in USD...I have paid my hotel via internet because i shall stay only one week and for example the hotel Serena told me that transfers are 40usd and safari 80usd
If i pay this in Ksh will it be cheaper?and if i buy drinks at hotel is it better to pay in Ksh?

I was wondering the youngest age you would take a child on safari in Kenya/Tanzania. I have a 6 month old at the moment, and was wondering how long we will have to wait before heading out to Kenya (I have a good friend who has been working in Nairobi for a while, and I still haven't visited him!) I do realise that we could go with a child of any age, but I want to go when he will enjoy seeing all the wildlife,

My sister and I are planning a 3-day/2-night Masai Mara trip at the end of the month (out of Nairobi). Exact dates to be determined, but sometime between April 23 - May 1st.

Planning a trip to East Africa for Jan-Feb/14 and have a few questions. Don't mind traveling on a budget with funds saved for more important things like safaris, etc. We did India for almost two months, staying in cheaper rooms, using local transport and hiring drivers, which is much faster and cheaper than local buses, with more freedom. Kids are 5 and 8.
