How is the wifi, if any in Kenya? I don't expect much in small towns but what about larger cities? Widespread? Any good?

Cheers.

Some hotels and pubs now have it but the speed can be very poor. I don't think the size of the town has any bearing on it.

I suggest buying a Safaricom USB modem for 2,000 shillings. A prepaid 1.5 GB data bundle sells for 1,000.

I have heard Orange Telecom sticks also work well, but there are a lot of complaints about Airtel.

Cheers.

edthesock: you'll be able to do what you want in quite a lot of places. But if you have an unlocked phone, just put a Kenya SIM in it.

I am using it now. Not as bad as I would have thought. Cheers.
