Hi all, going on safari next week to Kenya, Ugand and Rwanda. Don't know what to take in the way of clothes. Well, what I mean is, when I look at the forecasts, Nairobi is only 20C - doesn't seem very hot to me! Am travelling on a truck, they say it can be draughty - do you think I will be cold?! Many thanks for your advice

Yes, I think you'll be cold! Especially at night time and in highland areas. Take a good waterproof coat and a couple of warm sweaters and some trousers and you will be fine though. Make sure you wear some cooler clothes underneath so that you can strip off a bit because during the middle of the day it can get hot in some places.

Have a good safari!

Definitely take some warm clothes. You'll be camping so outdoors in the evening and early morning game drives can also be chilly.

I'm going to Uganda next week and have been checking the weather and it seems to be unusually wet for the time of year, so take a waterproof as well.

Dressing in layers is the key. Early morning and late afternoon/evening game drives will be chilly, esp. in an open truck, but by midday it should be pleasant. I'd bring a fleece or wool sweater and a windbreaker, as well as a bunch of t-shirts.

Thanks all very much. I am taking a fleece jacket, inner micro fleece and also a quilted body warmer, plus a thin waterproof jacket, plus a warm fleecy hat! (as well as vest tops, t-shirts and shorts)
