Hi All,

Can I obtain a visa when I arrive at Namanga crossing into Tanzania or do I need to apply for in advance? I realize there are new restrictions getting a visas into Kenya (e-visas), but wondered if this applied at border crossing into Tanzania. Thanks for your help.

Yes, most nationalities can get a visa on arrival for entering Tanzania.

Namanga is a very straight foward "busy" border post, you shouldn't have a problem. But if you really want to play it safe use the Taveta broder, so laidback it is a the favorite border to use for anyone doing a visa run. As an American you will have to pay 100 bucks tho, instead of the 50$ other nationalities pay. The difference being your visa will be valid for a year instead of only 90days.
