Hiya

Just checking that a tourist visa is still available on arrival for 50USD.

Unfortunately the kenyan embassy website only gives info about the visa you can apply for before you leave.

Is there any other requirements, heard rumours you need to bring a passport sized photograph.

Oh, and is the procedure very long if you get it on arrival?

Thanks in advance for any advice

You don't say where you are from and your profile says Ethiopia - I guess you are one of those people who were mysteriously relocated to Ethiopia with the move to TT4...
Anyway, assuming that you are from a country that qualifies for visa on arrival, yes, it's still available, cost is $50 and getting it as as straight forward as could be. Fill in the form on the plane, hand over money and pssport at visa desk, have passport stamped and walk straight through - while those people who got their visas in advance are still waiting in the passport line...

Many thanks, I am from the UK (nice of TT to move me to Ethiopia though)

So I just need the form(given to me on the plane) and 50USD. (no need for a passport photo like the rumour i heard).

Thanks again for your advice. Much appreciated

to save time you should print and fill out the Visa application before hand. It can be found at the web site for the Embassy of Kenya. One Visa for each person. When you arrive present it (and the $50 plus your valid passport) at the desk. You do notneed an additional photo (since you have one on your passport). The card they give you on the plane is the customs declaration.

The last two times I flew into Nairobi, they actually handed out visa application forms along with the entry cards!

Thanks again for all the info

Have looked on the kenyan embassy(in the uk) website and i cannot locate the form to print out. All I can see is the visa application for the visa you apply for before you leave. Is it the same form?

As always, all assitance is greatly appreciated

If you scroll down (past the text) to the last page, you will see the application. This IS what you need to enter the country (with your passport and the money as previously indicated. It is very simple. As they say in Kenya "hakuna matata" (don't worry). Safari is a fantastic experience, so just enjoy your trip.
