Can anyone recommend a good budget camping safari company for the masai mara?
We will be arriving in Nairobi September 3rd and plan to do a 3 day safari.
There are soo many companies! and recommendations would be much appreciated.

I'm going to Amboseli next weekend and Masai Mara the last weekend in July with African Game Trek Safaris (http://africangametreksafaris.com/). I can't tell you how good/bad they are, but I'll update after I get back from Amboseli. They've been really great in terms of answering emails and questions and they have good reviews on Trip Adviser.

Be wary of people that joined TT the day you posted or the day after, and only have one post to their credit. Usually a slammer or scamer.

My favorite safari company in Kenya is Seekers Tours & Safaris -- you should be able to google that and find them. Price is right, the people/drivers are great and I always feel safe with them (not to mention we see lots of animals thanks to owner, Ronald's keen eye.)
If you're getting several bids, I think it's worth it to check in with Ronald at Seekers. Can't say enough good about them.

We are a group of six and are going to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Tsavo East, Tsavo West and Mombasa from 23rd to 31st August. with Global view tours& safaris (www.globalviewtours.com). we were referred to them by my uncle who had booked mt Kenya trekking with them and said that everything went as agreed in the itinerary. I can't write more about them but I'll update after I get back from Kenya safari. They've been really great in terms of answering emails and questions though i have seen no reviews on Trip Adviser.
