Hi, a slightly diffuse question that I hope someone on the forums may have leads on: my partner was a young child in Nairobi and as an infant spoke Maragoli, the language of her carer/nanny (her parents had to speak Swahili to the carer and have her translate!), though she only remembers a couple of words now. We are about to spend the next couple of days in Nairobi and wondered if there was a likely public place where we could hangout and hear Maragoli being spoken, eg at a market or similar, but a cultural centre or more formal setting would also be good. Any leads or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, many thanks!
Hi, djbt!
I see you haven't exactly gotten a lot of responses to this post. You might want to try posting the same thing on our Speaking in tongues forum, which is where the language experts hang out. They may have some ideas for you. I hope this is not too late for you.

Many thanks Yersinia! It turned out OK anyway through friends. Appreciate your response! Cheers
