I know loyangalani is in the far north alongside Lake Turkana ,but how difficult is it to get there and indeed once there is it worth the effort .I am retired and have about 5 weeks to spend in Kenya so time is not such a problem .I am happy using buses or whatever type transport is available and will take whatever accom is available . My interests are cultural and photography if I see wildlife all the better but I doubt I would do a "Safari", I have no need or desire for many of the trappings of rich european tourism ,which I gather may be an advantage in this area .Please let me know your thoughts

What makes you think that safaris are only "trappings of rich Europeans"? Safaris are done at all budgets and in all ways, suiting your exact needs and preferences....
