Dear all,

I am looking for people who are motivated to hike the Mount Kenya via SIRIMON- NARO-MORU ROUTE from 22 to 25th July. The cost will be around 550 USD/pers inluding all cost (exept personal equipment, alcoholic drinks and tips for guide/ porters). I have got a quote from a reputed operator.

If anyone is interested, please contact me. I will give you more details.

Dario

Hey!

I'll arrive in Nairobi on the 19th and I want to hike up Mt. Kenya too!

Actually I'd prefer the Chogoria route but as I'm travelling by myself I'm flexible and looking for someone I can join!

To me the price seems quite a lot, but I'm not sure about what the usual price range is.

Are you still planning on doing it and can you give me more details?

Cheers,

Lea

Hi Lea,

Yes, I am still trying to planning this.

If you prefer the Chongoria route, no problem I can also join you (I'm also traveling by myself). Do you know other operator less expensive?
I arrive in Nairobi on Sunday (21 July) and I have to be back Thursday, July 25. I hope it is enough time to do this wonderful hike.

Best,

Dario

Hello,

Cool I am still in Nairobi! lea_sophia@yahoo.com or 0713903167 contact me it would be great to do it together! Would you want to walk for 4 days then? I think the Chogoria might take longer although Im not sure, but I heard its the most scenic route to walk. I dont know any tour operators, but I was told by a couple of people that it is the best to go to Chogoria, Nanyuki or Nyeri and negoiate a price with a guide from there, a friend of mine paid about 10 dollars a day for a guide, plus the dorm bed acommodation on the way and the entry fees for 4 days I think, so it should in total be less than the 550..
