Hi!

I'm going to be living and working in Nairobi from mid-September to mid-April. I am looking for inexpensive accommodation that is either walking distance or a single bus/matatu ride from my work (on Arwings Kodhek Road, somewhere near Ya Ya Mall). I don't mind sharing as long as I have my own room and my belongings are secure. I also know a few other people who might be willing to share, so if there is anyone with a 2-3 bedroom place for rent we might be interested. Any advice or tips would be most appreciated.

I stayed at a place called "Olive Gardens" for several weeks...nice rooms, good restaurant. It's right down the street from YaYa. It was $20/night in 2004. I know that's not a "long term" place (although it was for me!) but, if you're in a pinch, it might be worth checking out.
