Late arrival to Kisumu?

Does anyone have any feelings one way or another about a single female arriving late to KisumU? Would there be taxis around to take me to a hostel?

You don't say how you will be arriving in to Kisumu, but I am guessing it will be by bus. Don't worry, as long as buses are arriving there will be an abundance of taxi drivers fighting to take you to your hotel. You may want to book a place to stay in advance to save the hastle of having to find somewhere when you arrive at night. I stayed in the New Victoria Hotel and as a single female I felt very safe there.
