Two weekend ago I went to Lake Baringo with my friends. We camped out on the edge of the lake at Hungry Goats camp. My friend had an inflatable boat which we took out on the lake for hours. We stopped of on a small island camp and had drinks and took a swim in the pool overlooking the lake. It was a nice cheap weekend. The hungry goat restaurant is terrible, would not recommend it, but you can buy fresh fish off the lake which are 50 KSH (50 cents) a piece. You can grill then up at the campsite.

It was a great weekend filled with lots of adventure!

I read "filletted with lots of adventure"!

Pity about the Hungry Goat - used to be a good place until wrecked by floods last year…

Hello.
There´s even a local lodge with super cheap rooms in the village (Kampi Ya Samaki). Weaver´s Lodge 600 sh room (less than 10$). Good place to see a authentic small village in Kenya.
Details on our blog.
Enjoy!

Shows how opinion is subjective, but I was at Roberts' Camp in July(where Hungry Goat restaurant is) & loved it! It is a bit of a mess due to the flooding some years back, but they were working hard to get it back up to scratch.
