Hi there,
Does anyone know what airlines fly from England to Nairobi? Don't mind going via anywhere else. Do any holiday package opperators go there that might have an allocation of just flight seats?

Looked on one of the prize comparison sites and saw British Airways and Virgin Atlantic went there direct but they looked too expensive.

Thanks in advance

Kenya Airways are usually cheapest direct from LHR.
KLM are often cheap via Amsterdam but they codeshare with KA so prices are usually similar so unless the KA direct flight from London is booked up it's not usually any cheaper to go via Amsterdam.
I think you can sometimes get cheap flights that go via Dubai but I don't know what airline it is.

A lot of airlines fly into Nairobi. It is the hub for East Africa (and even Africa). SN, Emirates, KLM, Lufthansa, BA, AFrance, Egypt, Ethiopian, Kenyan, etc etc etc etc

Egypt Air and Emirates are considered the cheapest.

Thomas Cook and Thomson are operators with a package that fly there as well (and Mombasa).

Best is:
- get a few travel agents find you a ticket
- pick the cheapest

Any ticket for 600 EURO or below: buy on the spot!

Yes, I've flown Lufthansa before as well.
And Emirates is the one I was thinking of via Dubai.

Qatar Airlines could be of good help, from time to time they do have good offers.

I wouldn't discount some of the direct flights. Depending on when you want to go there are often deals to be had, most flights London- Nairobi are not full as the tourism industry is still suffering. I booked a return flight 4 weeks ago London-Nairobi 5 days before I was due to leave £350 (including tax) with BA mid week. Flight was empty, entire row to myself.

As other posters state main carriers from London are BA, Virgin, Kenya Airways, KLM, Emirates (latter two not direct). I believe the charter flights to Mombasa have restarted, try Thomson and First Choice.

egypt air, emirates, kenya airways, klm, air france, british airways, ethiopian airlines, Quatar airlines all fly to kenya.

also get a lot of charter flights to Mombasa from London which are normally excellent values but have fixed arrival and departure dates and times which cannot be changed.

I booked flights last week and found that KLM, via my near by provincial airport and Amsterdam, offered the best value. A better deal was had by booking directly through KLM. Booking through a travel agent would have been a bit more expensive and via the Internet a lot more expensive.
