Hi,

I'll cycling soon around Kenya and Uganda. I'm looking for informations about somme roads or tracks.

Does somebody know how is the piste between:

Nyahururu..Kinamaba...Muguta...Nguiyang...Kito pass...Sigor...Kapenguria ....Kitale
It looks nice but i'm afraid that the road could be in a bad condition even it's the dry season.

Thank you for your reply.

Good morning, I don't know the road but do check about securitiy. There are often problems (cattle rustling) there!

We drove the "Cherangani Highway" as they called it in our Land Rover in 2011. The road was rough in some parts but OK. You would have had no trouble on a bike (providing you are pretty fit.)

The scenery was stunning. We camped at a lovely little guesthouse called Barnleys I think near Kitale - run by an English guy who has lived there all his life and knows the area very well. There were De Brazzas monkeys in the gardens.

I just realized after reading my reply again: security issues are sometimes on the road from Nyahururu to Sigor. The road from Kapenguria to Kitale should be ok as it is a main road.
