Dear Community,

we are planning a trip from Kigali to Nairobi. Modern Coast Express offers direct buses via Kampala, but are kind of concerned since the estimated travel time is about 17h, which means that it is an overnight journey. My experiences made in Ghana tell me, do not board the bus! Highway robbers, cars without headlights.... On the other hand, the homepage of Modern Coast looks rather professional suggesting that the drivers do have at least a valid drivers license :)

Any experiences with Modern Coast and the overnight journeys in Uganda/Kenya?

I really appriciate your comments!

Or Just take day bus from Kigali to Kampala 10 hours.
sleep over night in Kampala. New city Annex hotel. which cost from $6 per person is on the same street at the Easy coach bus station in Kampala
then get a Easy coach bus at 6.30am from Kampala to Nairobi = Ugx 65.000.
the Easy coach also stops in Kisumu for Ugx 43.000.
