Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone has advice as to the cheapest and best way to visit Maasai Mara. A friend and I will be in Kenya for two weeks in April and were wondering if any body could recommend a budget tour company/guide which they successfully used. We have no problem slumming it a bit, but obviously we want to make sure it's safe and legit.

Thanking you in advance.
Daithi.

I had a fun trip for 3 days and 2 nights to the Masai Mara from Nairobi and back in October which was budget and fun. If you would like more details you can email me at robf0208@gmail.com. Enjoy your travel planning!

Hi daithikend - just so you know you have this post twice, not sure why. I can see your a fairly new member so maybe you need to include the country in your posting information so as to avoid duplication and also makes it easier for others to do searches.
Maybe ask one of the moderators to combine your two posts - under the Kenya page rather than for all Africa.
Cheers

Most tour companies have groups leaving together in 7 seater mini vans almost every weekend for 2 or 3 nights. The cost is less when on shared transport. It will also depend on whether you want to do camping, tented camp or stay at a lodge.

OP, be advised that posters with less than 10 posts are, more often than not, internet touts. They are just as annoying as the real ones that accost you on the streets and bus depots, but as you are new here I thought I would give you a heads up.
