Medium priced. $50-$75 a night for a double. Central area near good bars and restaurants.

Nothing at all, I'm afraid.

Any hotel in Nairobi that you could call boutique - like Macushla House – will cost at least three times that price and be miles out of the CBD. The best-value in the CBD at the top of your price range ($80/double) is probably the Oakwood, but it's old-style, certainly not boutique.

Where can you get a boutique hotel anywhere in the world for $50 - 75? I'd love to know!

The Kenya Comfort Hotel might fit you central location and budget requirements. It's clean and has a restaurant as well. If you don't need to be located near the bars and restaurants, I highly recommend Wildebeest Safari and Camp. I don't think it is centrally located but it has platform tents in the garden and they serve meals. Have a good trip!

@Helen of Troy

Where can you get Boutique hotels for $50-$70? Here in Cambodia. Thailand. Vietnam. Laos. India. Hope this helps. BTW thanks for the info.

@Richard. Any hotel called Oakwood will be full of wooden old style decor LOL. Sounds good I'll google it. Thanks.

Check out Mvulihouse.com they are conveniently located, some 10 mins from town off peak hours and very active neighborhood.
