ARE YELLOW FEVER VACCINATIONS NEEDED FOR KENYA IN JUNE

Report

Kenya officially requires a yellow fever certificate if you are arriving directly from an infected area. These are all countries in South America and Africa. Scroll down to see the maps p this page However, yellow fever does occur in Kenya and you should get the shot for your own protection, even if arriving directly form Europe. Although YF is rare in travelers, it can be fatal. The vaccine is almost 100% effective in preventing infection. The certificate is good for 10 years. The time of year of travel does not matter.

Yes, you need a yellow fever vaccination regardless of when you travel to Kenya. You'll need to bring proof of vaccination with you when you travel to Kenya.

You may also need to prove you've had one to reenter your own country.

Yellow fever vaccination is not compulsory to enter Kenya. However, it's highly advisable to get the shot, the risk does exist.
