Hi!
I m looking for accomodation in Nairobi. I m traveling low badget. I was already in Kenya but 10 years ago. At that time I stayed in one camp a bit north and out of Nairobi. The camp was ranining by one woman.
Do you have any idea where to stay?
How much does it cost?
Witch places you recommend or are popular within back pack range. (maybe the name or contact)?
Do they provide transport from airport?
Tx.

Search this forum for recommendations on safari companies. You are looking for a budget camping safari and it should cost you between 90-110 USD/person/day.

I'd suggest Nairobi Backpackers. They are affordable and you'll meet other travelers although I don't know if they have airport pickup.

Nairobi Backpackers offers airport pickup. I used them before and am doing so again when I return next week. Very friendly place, affordable, safe, great mango pancakes! Check out their website, www.nairobibackpackers.com

Nairobi Backpackers has airport pickup, but the place is a real dive! Easily the worst place we've ever stayed in.
The supposed log cabins are nothing more than tiny rooms with pine offcuts nailed to the outside. And when I say tiny, I mean so small that, unless you put your pack down in the corners furthest from the door, there's no room to get around the bed.
On the day my we arrived there in May, another couple with a private room had just been robbed. They'd left their key at the front desk - as they were told to do - and someone else was able to just walk in, get the key and go to the room. The storage room, where guests were supposed to be able to leave their gear was also open to all and sundry. So much for security.
Finally, the kithcen staff used the same rag to wipe grime off the floor, dry the dishes and sweep cockroaches off the bench. So much for hygene.
My recommendation: Look elsewhere.
