Im soon moving to Nairobi and have been warned of the hassles of obtaining safe, affordable housing in Nairobi. So, Im planning on having to stay at a hostel for a while before being lucky enough to score a place. So, Im wondering if people have any suggestions for long term "hostel" stays? I will be working in Westlands so it will need to be somewhere that I can access Westlands with relative ease-either via walking or matatu. Id like it to be somewhere with a fun atmosphere and somewhere that feels safe (cuz Ill have all my belongings with me while Im looking for housing). Somewhere for under 15-20$ a night as I fear that I may have to be there for a while...I have looked into Bush House and Upper Hill Campsite and Im hoping someone here will have had stayed there and can offer insight?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
