I'm 30 and just spent 3 weeks traveling from Accra to Kumasi to Cape Coast to Busua to Elimina and back to Accra. I personally thought that was a great route and highly recommend it to any solo travelers. Coming from California to Africa for the first time, found Ghana to be extremely beautiful, sad, amazing, humbling... people are very friendly.

My personal favorite was Cape Coast. Bustling streets but quiet beach, reggae/rasta vibes, lots to explore there, kind people.

Small travel concerns: came across two different sets of travelers who had their bags with passports in them stolen directly from them. Just be sure to keep an eye out in quiet areas. Also, do Not stay in Savannah Guest House in Accra. Had items stolen from my room including an ipod. No big deal but bad introduction to Ghana as it was my first night.

Any questions about trip feel free to ask
