Hi
I will be in Accra for 6 weeks and need to find a good place to stay. I would like somewhere where I have the option of cooking for myself - so shared kitchen or apartment or hotel room with kitchenette would be good.
It needs to be under US$100 a night if possible.
Can anyone help?

I think it really depends on what your comfort standards are and what you're doing while in Ghana.
i would recommend Crystal Hostel (www.crystalhostel.com or google it) It is a little outside of central Accra in the Darkuman area.
The family that runs it are absolutely incredible and very accommodating. There is an separate kitchen for those who are self catering that has two elements, countertops, and a sink. The area is usually kept very clean, except for when people use it just the odd time and don't clean up (reflection of travelers, not the owners) And a self contained single is only like $15US a night, with a discount after you stay 14 days.
Again I think it really depends on what you need in regards to work space? commute times if you are working, etc.. It is a really great place, usually filled with great people. Have a good one.
