I am planning a trip to Ghana, but I'm currently living in Korea. I am an American citizen and will be returning to the States before my departure, but with only about 10 days between trips. The Ghanaian Embassy in Seoul refuses to give a multiple entry tourist visa and as I'll be traveling to Togo and Benin as well I know I will need a multiple entry without question. Due to the new rules in place in their embassies in Togo, etc, I know I need it before I go.

I'm wondering if anyone has ever sent their passport via FedEx (or whoever) from abroad to the Ghanaian Embassy in DC (or any other embassy for that matter) and had it returned to them while they're abroad via an included prepaid return envelope. That's pretty much my only option. I figure if I send it at least a month before I leave Korea that should leave me plenty of time to get it back.

Any advice would be appreciated and I will need to get going on this by the beginning of October. Thank you.

I myself would make a quick call to the Ghana Embassy in DC and confirm they can do what the Korean embassy cannot do.

I've done and dealt with mutliple visa applications in Washington where passports have been sent from abroad and then sent onwards to other countries. I've alwasy had this done however using a DC based visa services company.

Yeah, I know I need to contact the embassy in DC. Just due to the time difference it can be difficult to do so as I'm in Seoul.

I was considering using a visa service, but if I could save the $50 or so fee that would be good.

Are there any visa service companies you'd recommend in DC?

Thanks.

I use http://ghanavisashouston.com/ to get my Visa done here. Had it back in a day. Will be longer for you.... Maybe have everything shipped to an American address and then ship it out from there.

VP2GO in DC are an excellent outfit - they've helped myself and a dozen colleagues secure business visas for place like Eritrea, Libya, DRC and elsewhere................I'd highly recommend them.

Not sure if this is still an issue for you since it is so late for reply, but I thought I would share for the group. I am stationed in Djibouti and I sent my passport and Ghana visa application with a FEDEX return airbill to a visa service out of Houston. They sent it back to me within two days and i picked it up on day three from the local FEDEX office.
