I am currently filling out the Ghana visa application (I'm from the UK) and have come across the question about a return ticket.

I do have a return ticket, but I fly out of Burkina Faso (having flown into Ghana) - would I be best advised to tick return or single? It also asks for the ticket number - my tickets have not been issued yet, so what do you suggest I do here?

Thanks for any help in advance - I have tried searching previous posts but nothing seems to address this specific issue.

I would not tick the one-way box, but the return box (and then mark returning from BF).

If you have a return ticket (as you mentioned) give them a photocopy of that, or get your ticket from your travel agent. If you do not have any return ticket, do not show any ticket number, then you will be flagged down!

Again, put down you have a return ticket )and then write traveling overland to BF and flying out from there, and then show them a copy of your ticket out of BF.

If you are already applying for your visa then you may was well purchase your ticket. Without a ticket you do nto know the arrival date and your length of stay in Ghana.

These questions are the same as the ones posted on a US Citizen application.

Travel safe and have fun.

Thanks for your reply - very helpful. I have the dates of my travel so I will put this down. WIth the UK application you don't normally have to give a copy of your flight details (afaik) but will mention the BF element, and take a copy down if I travel in person.

I was just worried about this being an issue else I would look to try to organise a return from Ghana, though it will be difficult at this stage. Thanks

I think you will find the Ghana High Comission in London is less fussy than in Cananda. In the past (and when I had visitors to Ghana last year) all that was required was to tick the return ticket box, yes, and to put the flight number of your ticket.
