Hi,
I've been searching and searching for a flight from Accra, Ghana to Morocco (probably Casablanca or Marrakech). The cheapest flight I can find is around $800 and goes via Dubai so is an 18 hour flight, when it's only 3000km between Accra and Casablanca!! Can anyone help with ideas or airlines?

Royal Air Maroc Flight #516 flies from Accra to Lome to Casablanca. Flight leaves 2:55am and arrives at 8:55am. You can do this Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday you can fly Virgin Nigeria from Accra to Dakar and then jump on the easy 3 hour flight from Dakar to Casablanca of which there are plenty with Royal Air Maroc.
Virgin Nigeria has ceased to exist, not sure what they're doing with the website etc but it's now NIGERIAN EAGLE!!!

Virgin Nigeria has been rebranded.
You can still use the Virgin Nigeria website for flight times and destinations. Only two of its smallish fleet have been rebranded as Nigeria Eagle Airlines with one recently arriving into Lagos on 9/26/09.
Wether Sir Richard Branson likes it or not, 49% of Nigeria Eagle is still owned by Virgin Atlantic Aiways and the mentioned flights are still operational with the VK flight numbers................

I have seen the royal air maroc flights but they are so expensive - $1350 one way accra to casablanca. I'm on a tighter budget than to afford that. I'm looking into nigeria airlines now.

Not sure, but you could try flying into Dakar then onwards, but I would imagine its more expensive than the emirates flight via Dubai. Try Qatar airways, they have lots of options
You have to realise that buying tickets there is far cheaper than what you will find them on the web for.
Cheapest price in France for Abidjan - Dakar was 450, got a ticket for 280 at Abidjan airport ...
I know return tickets out of Africa are cheaper than return tickets from Europe for example!
