Day trips from Accra for nature etc

Hi, I'm hoping to do a few day trips out of Accra and would love ideas for realistic locations (with a driver). I'd especially love to see some wildlife or natural features, e.g. falls. I've done Kakum, which was fun, but unfortunately lacking in visible wildlife beyond bugs. Any suggestions gratefully received.

There are a couple of waterfalls around Hohoe and the Volta Region is quite picturesque. Aburi Botanical Gardens are (were? - I haven't been for ages) on top of the escarpment to the north of Accra but if it's wildlife you're after then you need to get all the way up to Mole NP and even then it's not a patch on E Africa.

Yes I agree to 1, not much wildlife to see. Aburi Botanical Garden is a nice day trip from Accra.
If you like to enjoy the beach go to Kokrobite - less than an hour from Accra. Go to Big Millys Backyard and enjoy
lunch there.
