I am going to Ghana for an internship for an extended period of time and was thinking that beef jerky would be great to bring along since it's packaged and stays good for a while. Does anyone know if we can bring meat across the border? Or does anyone know where we can find this kind of information? I've tried searching several different things on google and could'nt find any info regarding this.

Thanks for your help!

There should not be any issues bringing cured, dried and packaged beef jerkey into Ghana...................

You know you can buy it here as well... and there is a plethora of fresh meat (mainly Chicken) and Fish!

Packaged food like beef jerky shouldn't be any problem whatsoever! It sounds like you're not flying in.. so the borders will be easier anyway.

Good food to have with you!!! Having said that.. I reckon you'll be picking up local food within no time...

Enjoy
