Has anyone traveled by bus (Sky or Selam) recently to Dire Dawa and/or Bahir Dar or have you heard weather it's safe OR not, to do so?
We're flying to Addis Ababa in a couple of days and since the flights seems to be quite expensive we'd like to go by road if it's safe.
(Now we don't mean traffic and stuff like that, more blocked roads, attacks and such)
Is anybody interested to join us on a trip to South Omo Valley starting in Addis around the 18.11?
We want to stay in the villages, tents can be organized if you dont have your own. It is not a touristic trip, so we will spend more time in the area than normal .

I and my family (wife and 13yo son) are just back from Ethiopia where we travelled through the South Omo region.
Yes, we took the local bus from Addis to Arba Minch and back and didn't have a single problem related to the recent reported unrest.
We paid for the bus trip (Salam Bus, which is the government's company)round 270 B (roughly 11€) per person.

My friend and I are visiting ethiopia in january and want to have a few days in somaliland also and then get back to ethiopia afterwards.
Is it possible to get a multiple entry visa in the bole airport.....I read mixed information on different sites.
If not how do we then get back into ethiopia....are we forced to fly back to bole airport. Andy idea about how much such a ticket would cost and can we just buy it when we are in hargeisa??
