I'm going to Ethiopia for seven days this July and am still working out an itinerary. I would love to see Lalibela and possibly Gondar and the Simien Mountains. I also will probably spend a day in Addis Ababa. I'm concerned about the rainy summer weather. What are these parts of the country like in July? Are they enjoyable during that time of year? Thanks for any help.

PS: I apologize if this is too similar to my previous post.

Those 3 places are 2 days bus journey apart. By plane you will lose a full day really as most flights leave around midday so the day is lost.

Lalibela is fantastic, easily a 3 day trip. You could do a tesfa trip for 3 days with a day or two in Addis.
Personally i think you need to pick an area.

Also another area would be Bahir Dar with Gondar up the road and the Simiens up the road a bit further.

The highlight of any Ethiopian trip would have to be Lalibela though.

Cheers.
