Hi All,

I'm hoping to take a permaculture design class and/or volunteer at the Strawberry Fields Eco-Lodge in Konso, southern Ethiopia. But I haven't been able to reach the owner. I read on the website that it's selling part of the property, so I'm not sure if it's still operating.

Has anyone visited Strawberry Fields Eco Lodge recently?
Has anyone volunteered there and would like to share your experience? The review on tripadvisor is quite mixed.

Does anyone know other volunteer/hands-on opportunities related to agriculture in Ethiopia?

I was interested in volunteering here before I went to Eth in December. I sent3/4 emails asking for info with no reply so I called the contact number on their site based in London. A guy answered the phone and quite abruptly told me that they were not running volunteer programs any more then hung up and that was that...

I didn't find anything but didn't really look too hard as it was short notice. I just spent an amazing 6 weeks in a beautiful country. Enjoy!
