It is amazing to see the ancient tribes of Africa. A visit this month to the Omo Valley National Park was like seeing National Geographic first hand. We visited the Hamer, Dassanch, Mursi and Dorze Tribes. They still maintain their cultures and traditions. Ethiopia and this National Park is well worth the visit. Mamaru and Mike made it easy to see all the tribes and the countryside in this area. Mamaru has a good command of English and his country. No visitation in recommending Mamaru of Mamaru Ethiopian Tours. <snip>

Hello baum.baum, welcome to TT.
Many people here recommend Mamaru, generally new posters, who then never post again.
Did mamaru ask you to post this?

Hi everyone. I was in Ethiopia with Mamaru to with 2 other travel friends. During our trip we visited Chamo lake; Dorze village, Arba Minch, Turmi, Omorate – Hamer village , Key Afar market , Mago National Park (Mursi village) and after visiting Omo Valley we went to Harer, Babile, Langano Lake, Ziway Lake, Addis Abeba...
And he always take us too see not only touristic places, but also we visited normal Ethiopian families, and we saw places which probably wouldn’t be accessible for us without him.
Because we were low budget travelers – he always tried to find low budget accommodation and “restaurant” for us.
We strongly recommend him ;-)
If someone is looking for a good guide in Ethiopia – you can contact with him using Facebook page
“Mamaru Ethiopian Tours”
Good luck ;-)

Are you sure that you are a real traveller ?
I have some doubts and I'm not the only one...
