Hi all,
I am trying to get the mailing address to Wim's Holland House in Addis Ababa. Popular with people driving their own vehicles through Africa and highly recommended. They are near La Gare and have a great restaurant too.
I tried to send them some photos from our time there but the address I tried didn't work and the letter came back. If anyone is there or going there please ask them what their mailing address is for me!

Thanks

Wim's is behind (Ring road side) Medhane Alem close to the Swiss Cafe and not near the station. Are you confusing it with the new Milch House? I've only been to Wim's once (it was dull) and never to the new Milch House although I did like the original Milch House. In any case the address will be a PO Box since there are no street deliveries in Addis.

I am sure you are already aware of their website, etc. In case you are not (never assume anything!) here it is:

www.wimshollandhouseaddis.nl

info@wimshollandhouseaddis.nl

Phone: 0911608088 or 0911887770

and directions (no address!): Wim' s bar is located in the centre of Addis Abeba. Are you coming by car or taxi drive to La Gare (bus station, beside the less sociable Bufet De La Gare!). If you are facing the railway station turn left (small dirtroad). Drive straight, and take the second street to the left again. After 10 meters you will find Wim' s Holland House on the right side! If you still can't find it after this good description, just give Wim a call!!

Ah - when did it move? I would have been to the old one in c. 2005.

I know where it is, as I have already been there once :) If anyone could give me a PO Box for them that would be good. I am still trying to mail something unfortunately :(

Warning
While we stalled our campervan 5 weeks in Holland House for repairs we find after returning nothing done, The money paid to the owner was paid by him in advance to the mechanican which is stupid. An African must be paid after the work otherwise he doesn't do anything. Moreover: a quite new tyre is stolen and replaced by a wornout one which caused within hundred kilometers an explosion. We trusted our countryman and therefore his recommendation of the carmechanic. When we reclaimed he said that is our problem. So you can't even trust a westerner in Africa.
