Hi.
Unfortunately I've pulled a muscle in my back but still going ahead with my trip. I won't be able to take my rucksack with me when I leave Addis to go to Northern circuit as only taking bare minimum. Will It be safe to leave my stuff, including laptop etc, in hotel or other facility? I'm staying in Itergue Taitu hotel by the way.
Any advice appreciated.
Frank

OK. Thanks guys. Any idea then if there is indeed a safe and secure place in Addis to leave luggage with a laptop?
Thanks.

Thanks Nineeleven. I've gathered that from previous posts here. My question is if is safe to leave laptop and other electronic goods in hotel left luggage and if not are there other options.
Thanks

As of late November 2016, Addis Ababa airport does not offer any luggage storage facility. If, like me, you had a full day in Addis before a flight at night, Ethiopian Airlines allows one to check in luggage long before your flight is due to take off - 14 hours in my case.

As for storing it in a hotel, safety is something which varies with each hotel. My friend who was in Ethiopia for work left his laptop and other belongings at the Sheraton for a week while he traveled the rest of the country. But of course, the Sheraton is not representative of the average Addis hotel.
