Hi all,

I'm travelling to Ethiopia next week and have arranged a 7 day trek in the Simien Mountains to the highest mountain, Ras Dejen. I'm currently travelling alone but I'd be happy to find more people to join!

The trek is arranged with Dawoud Sulay, from Simien Mountain Tours (http://www.ethio-simienmountains.com/about.html). I chose him after reading several very positive reviews and finding that he was offering the lowest price. We will meet in Gondar on 11th December and will trek from Sankaber to Geech, Chenck, Ambiko and finally Ras Dejen, then back to Ambiko and Chenck. Dawoud will provide camping gear, cooking materials, food, a cook, a scout and entrance fees, as well as mules to carry kit.

If one person wants to join me, the price will be $700/person; if two people want to join it'll be $600/person, and I'm sure the price would be even lower for a bigger group.

Please do get in touch if you're interested!

Hi there!
Have you consider this one, it's shorter but the route seems to be the same one.

I also want to do the trekking and this option look way cheaper, i've read some other reviews from that company and seems they are quite good.

I'll be in Addis Ababa on 1st december and be around Ethiopia for a month, let me know if you're interested on this one, perhaps catch up for Danakil depression and try to get a better price together. (i've been told from someone else on fb that used that company he dropped the price to 350 US)

Cheers!

Thanks edgarvaldez. The difference between the treks is that the 7 day one goes up to Ras Deshen, the highest mountain. I'm particularly keen to do this, so think I'll stick to the longer one!

Hope you have a great trip!
