I was wondering if anyone knows of a budget airline that runs between Kenya and Ethiopia and if it is possible to fly to Lalibela? This is very last minute as we were driving but our car will not make it all the way to Ethiopia. Any advice is well appreciated, thanks.

Only airlines between NBO and ADD are Ethiopian and Kenya Airways and budget they're not. Ethiopian will also get you to Lalibela.

I will just add that the Ethiopian Airlines internal flights are about 20% cheaper if you fly into the country with them as well. (I believe I paid about $140-150 for the AA->Lalibela flight (full fare, no discount) in Feb. 2009).

Hi Eddie
As mentioned before it is only Ethiopian and kenyan airlines that fly in between NBO and Addis. If they haven't increased ET costs around 390 USD and Kenyan is 500 USD for return ticket. If you are at least two there is a discount fare to lalibela if you arrive with ET. It was around 150 USD for a return flight from Addis to lalibela. I hope this helps.
