Hey,
I'm going to be in Ethiopia from 9th - 17th May off back of work trip. Want to go hiking in Simiens most likely 11-16th, planning to walk for approx 4 days. Have bought a book, but looks like Guide will be necessary. Does anyone want to come with me and split the costs? Woman, late 30s, not too annoying. Have travelled and walked quite a lot before so relatively fit and un-whiney. Will prob have to go from Gondar, that's what everyone seems to say.

Thanks,

Georgina

Only the scout is mandatory, not the guide.
Everything can be organised from Debark.

Starting from Gonder is always more expensive than starting from Debark...

I'm also looking to trek simien mountains I the middle of may. I have most of the gear I need and want to do a little longer trek than the usual. I'm thinking 5-7 days. I want to organize it from debark with the mandatory scout and not much more.
I'm very easygoing, happy and cooperative. Looking for fellow travellers with an adventurous mindset.

I have the same plan more or less. I think I will arrive in Addis Abeba around the 18th. Send me an email if you want to discuss further.
