Already thinking of next year, would appreciate your thoughts on what month is the ideal month to travel to Egypt.
Would like to avoid the intense heat, but would also like to avoid the highest cost season. I see many people on this branch travel in November, my concern would be the short days. What are your thoughts? When do you travel to Egypt? Thank You in advance.

Hi

I'm going to Egypt over the new year and have checked the website www.egyptair.com for flight prices for Cairo to Aswan. When you enter a European place of residence the fare adds up to about 85 Euros one way whereas if you enter that you live in Egypt the absolut identical flight cost 226 Egyptian pounds, which at 29 Euros is only a fraction of the price!!

Now it says in the conditions that the latter fare is applicable only if the ticket is bought in Egypt. As I would be buying an e-ticket…

I've had a reply from a dive centre in Dahab indicating that all the diving at Christmas/New Years is shore diving. They say the sea is too rough at that time for boat diving. Is there any truth in this? I've dived from Hurghada before at this time & it was all boat diving. Are conditions really that different in the Sinai or is this a load of **?

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone out there has a copy of the current Middle East LP book that they no longer need and would like to sell. We're currently in Saigon (Vietnam) for a week and haven't been able to find one in a bookstore (or even on the street!) and really need to get our hands on one. From Saigon we're going through Cambodia, will spend a few days in Bangkok before moving on to spend a few weeks in China. I'll keep looking but thought I'd check here as well - if you have one and…

Hi
My partner and I recently booked a week long trip in Egypt, with Shahin Tours or www.egypttravelonline.com , as their website is called. I cannot recommend this agency highly enough.
We did a lot of research as we wanted to have a nice holiday without paying too much. This agency was one of the cheapest, for 4 nights in Cairo and 3 nights on a Nile Criuise from Aswan to Luxor. This left me worried that corners would be cut, but it was needless worry.
The manager and owner of…

About a year ago I was snorkeling at the Blue Hole near Dahab. The scenes were amazing but unfortunately I didn't have an underwater camera.

Does anybody have a few "underwater" pictures they could share with me so I can complete my album? If so, please e-mail them to me at: christopher.annear@fnbcommercial.co.za

Thanks

Heya

I'm looking for some advice when it comes to traveling in Egypt for approx one week. We're arriving from Cyprus, and planning to continue onto Turkey. Does anyone have any recommendations on inexpensive airlines? Also, we've both been traveling independently within Europe, and would like to continue this way, but keep on hearing that you should book a tour while your there for various reasons. What do you think? I mean, is it really that difficult to travel in Egypt without a tour? Any…

Hi, can anyone recommend me an inexpensive and good hostel in Cairo? And maybe also an inexpensive and good hotel for when my friend comes to join me? I will be there in the end of October.

Thanks a lot!

For those who have been to both Ras Mohammed National Park and Nuweiba, which one do you prefer for snorkeling (not scuba diving) and why? Is March comfy enough for snorkeling or still too cold? Thanks in advance.

I've been told that if I go to Egypt I just have to do the Nile cruise. I've read the other postings on this subject, and the general consensus seems to be "go ahead and do it, you'll have a good time." But we're talking winter holiday rush season here... I just wonder if the awful tourist crowds and pack-em-in, pack-em-out mentality is going to be just too much for me. Is there a backpacker approach to this? I read about the eco-tour options falluccas or other smaller boats, but those are…
