Visa at Cairo airportok

I am another Aussie and I am going in March and was curious about this too??
I have been told that you can get the visa at the airport before clearing customs... Do I need to bring a passport size photo for it?

I am assured that you don't need a photo, you simply buy a stamp which you stick onto a blank page in your passport. I understand it is a very easy process, but I am still unsure as to how long you have to wait. There was an issue, last year, with visas needing to be purchased before arriving, but apparently that was very quickly changed and visas are available at the airport. I was hoping someone would post something regarding this that was current information.

I am also travelling from Australia in September on a Contiki Tour.
Am I able to get a Visa when entering in Cairo or should I get one before I go?

We were in Egypt in March and April of this year. It was a breeze to get visas. $15 each... a sticker to put in the passport. Done.
