Hi folk,
I am possibly heading out to Egypt for 16 days from 7th July and was hoping I could get a few questions answered before I book my flights.
I am looking to do some diving and some historical sites of the country. Its a last minute thing as I just got a new job starting in September so I have had to cancel my other plans of a October month in Rwanda and Tanzania (hopefully get back to that next year).
My Passport runs out on 27.01.08 - do you thing I should be ok getting into the country or should I hurry and get a new one?
Will it be easy enough to get cheap rooms in most towns during this time. I am not going in August because I thing it would be worse. I am a budget traveller so cheapish rooms will be great, but I stay in midrange the odd time.
What are prices like in July ( how much should I budget)
Which site do you think I could manage the cheapest flight? Best so far is around £285.00 from London, but i could fly from glasgow, Manchester if cheaper ( I live in Northern Ireland and i can get a budget airline across to the mainland as all inclusive connections are too expensive)
Or if anyone has any other suggestions of a different country to visit in a fortnight with a flight below £300 with some diving, history (wildlife if poss) I will take it on board I was thinking of Yemman too but flight too expensive.

I have just booked for two weeks in July flying from Manchester-Sharm £350.00. I know this is over your budget but head up to Dahab and you will soon claw back the £50 excess. I have booked into the Jasmine @ £7.00 per night, a/c, ensuite and with sea view. You can get MUCH cheaper accommodation than this. Just do a search. Day to day living is also very affordable even eating in restaurants.
Go for Egypt, you’ll love it I’m sure.
