Hello,

I am aware of the new visa changes for Egypt as of May 2015. As far as I can tell this also now applies to Sinai and it is no longer possible to get a free 14-day Sinai only visa(?). Can someone confirm this? Would be crossing on the ferry Aqaba. Secondly, is 6-7 days too rushed for Dahab and St. Katherine?

Egypt has abandoned plans to introduce new visa rules for tourists, which had been scheduled to come into force on May 15.
is 6-7 days too rushed for Dahab and St. Katherine? No it's fine, but it does depend on transport links to and from St Katherine.
