I am off to Egypt in 2 weeks for a month provided everything works out ok and I can get my ticket tomorrow insha'Allah!

I really need to know of a hotel in cairo - cheap with air. I got a great room a couple years ago for about 15 bucks a night but I can't remember if it had air as it was in winter and I froze instead.

I stayed here last year with room with balcony overlooking Nile and share bathroom (only shared with one person)

Interesting crowd of elderly archeologists mixed with normal people ............

Walk to Museum in 5 mins, walk to city centre in 8 mins.

Very quiet and very safe for girls

If you eat in for dinner you will get these odd 'British Boarding-School' dinners which are actually quite good after all the local stuff you get else where

Never try to whistle with a mouth full of custard.
