Is it possible to leave Egypt by ship and head down to Yemen or East Africa? There is always a possibility of sailing yacht but cargo ships?! I was told that there are boats heading to Jeddah but there is problem of getting a visa to enter S.Arabia. I was wondering if maybe I changed religion and became muslim then I might stand a chance to get into the country!!

You would probably do better to ask this on the ocean/sailing branch. I forgot what exactly it is called.

I might be wrong on this ... but my impression was that Saudis give very specific visas for the haj. I don't think you can just wander the country at any time, regardless of your religion.
And, coming from someone who is not very religious - I would think that faking a religion just to get somewhere would be offensive to those who do believe. It seems to go against the spirit of why we travel in the first place.
